This week we completed another shutter installation in a beautiful barn conversion in Chester for a returning client – always a pleasure to be asked back.
The project included tracked shutters across large bi-folding doors, along with a single door shutter, all supplied in our Arran Premium MDF range. The shutters were finished in Pure White with 76mm louvres, a combination that works particularly well in barn conversions where you want a clean, timeless look that still complements character features.
Tracked shutters are an excellent solution for bi-folding doors. They allow the panels to glide smoothly along the track, giving full access to the doors when open, while still offering superb privacy, light control, and insulation when closed. During the winter months especially, shutters add an extra insulating layer that helps retain warmth without compromising style.
The single door shutter was designed to match perfectly, creating a consistent, cohesive finish throughout the space. As always, everything was measured, manufactured, and installed specifically for the property, ensuring a precise fit and smooth operation.
